On Friday, January 26th, BikeWalk NC Community Outreach Coordinator, Oliver Sendall, had the privilege of attending and addressing the Oaks & Spokes Annual Member Party in Raleigh.
Oliver provided updates to the Oaks & Spokes Membership on BikeWalk NC’s work related to the NC Friendly Driver Program, the NC BikeWalk Transportation Summit, partnership opportunities for Traffic Gardens, as well as information on NC House Bill 198 addressing the Bicycle and Pedestrian Funding Limitation.
In addition, the 150 members in attendance also heard from representatives of Raleigh Community Kickstand, the Neuse River Park, and Safe Routes To School.
The exceptional turnout and enthusiasm at the event serve as testament to Oaks & Spokes membership, their first full time Executive Director, Jared Harber, and the work they are doing to make Raleigh safer for those on bikes.
