Whether driving, carpooling, or taking the train to the NC BikeWalk Transportation Summit this year, it is our hope that you will take advantage of several transportation options available to you as you move throughout Salisbury for Summit events.
In addition to working with Salisbury Transit to identify the best points of access to their existing transit network, we have also partnered with the Rowan County Convention and Visitors Bureau to provide shuttle service via their F&M Bank Trolley system.
This dedicated shuttle will offer transportation between the Courtyard by Marriott and Holiday Inn Express Hotels to Catawba College from 7am-9am on Friday morning, and between Catawba College, the hotels, and The Pedal Factory for our evening social that evening from 5pm-9pm. On Saturday the shuttle will again run from 7am-9am between the hotels and college, before transitioning to shuttling attendees to the NC Transportation Museum and Walk Audit sites in Spencer, NC.
Salisbury Transit offers Summit attendees complimentary bus service between the official Summit hotel locations and Catawba College via the Arlington/Innes stop on Route 2 (Red), and a transfer at Depot St. to Route 3 (Blue), which stops at Catawaba College. The bus has a longer travel time than the trolley, but the buses are equipped with bike racks. A detailed interactive map showing these routes and others is available on their website.
