On Saturday, April 22nd, staff from BikeWalk NC will be on site at the Earth Day Jam at Salisbury’s Bell Tower Green to educate attendees on the benefits of active transportation, distribute information about the organization, and promote the NC Friendly Driver Program and the NC Bicycle Safety Quiz. BikeWalk’s participation will also serve to promote and educate citizens of Salisbury on the NC BikeWalk Transportation Summit that will take place there in September.
The event is a music and arts festival aimed at celebrating Earth Day, raising awareness of environmental stewardship, and raising funds for Happy Roots, an organization providing nature-based therapeutic and educational services to enhance the wellness of the community and the environment.
